The 1980 yearbook focuses on the modeling of socio-economic systems and global modeling, in conjunction with the philosophical and methodological foundations of systems research. It demonstrates a shift towards practical effectiveness: organizational structures, urban studies, human settlements, and scientific communication are examined as systemic objects. The formal section continues the work on the theory of integrity, time and space in methodology, as well as the substrate-structural simplicity of systems.
